What are your support options?
For all of our customers, we offer email support for hardware/network related issues. Just simply open a ticket in the customer portal. We aim to respond to all questions within 4 - 6 hours however usually it's within 1 hour.
Extended support services are available to users who are using one of our Managed VPS plans.

Can I upgrade/downgrade later on?
Of course you can! Unlike many other VPS providers out there, we don't make you loose all of your data or software. The technology we use allows us to grow or shrink disk sizes to our hearts' content! All that is required is a few minutes downtime of your VPS, which is usually no longer than 10 minutes.
Now how's that for awesome!

Do you offer an SLA?
We don't offer an SLA with VPSs, however we have a good reason for this. A lot of SLAs out there are a little bit useless! They offer high uptimes, but they exclude things like: scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs, hardware failure and network outages. That leaves pretty much nothing else left to cover!
Instead of an SLA, we offer our "Fantastic Service Promise":
"We here at Evorack, pledge to you, our customers, that we will do everything we can within our power to ensure that your service remains as enjoyable as possible. If something were to go wrong, we won't dilly dally, and we promise to get everything running normally as soon as possible."

Do you offer IPv6?
Evorack is pleased to offer native IPv6 addresses to all of our customers. Each package includes a /64 subnet which gives you 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 static addresses!

What about backups?
By default, all VPS disks on our network are stored on RAID arrays, so you are automatically protected from disk failure. If you don't wish to manage you own backups, Evorack does offer a backup service which provides some space on a remote network to backup your important data.
The cost for this service is dependant upon your VPS disk size, but is worked out at 25% of the cost for the base VPS. Please open a support ticket if this is of interest to you.
Evorack will of course give you a helping hand if you are having any trouble setting up this service

How does billing work?
We want to make life as easy for you as possible. We accept payment by credit card or paypal. We also offer a 5% discount if you pay quarterly, and a 10% discount if you pay yearly (Terms and Conditions apply to these discounts).

What is a Managed Firewall?
Since your VPS essentially acts like a physical server connected to the open internet, it is vital that your system is protected with a firewall. For some users, this can be a daunting process. Here at Evorack, we are proud to offer our customers a free (yes free!) managed firewall service. The concept is simple: we protect your VPS from intruders by using our upstream firewalls, which means you can enjoy using your VPS. Instructing us to close/open ports is as easy as dropping us an email!
Of course, if you wish to do all the firewalling yourself, then you are more than welcome to! Just tell us so when ordering your VPS.

How many users go onto each server?
This depends on the size of each VPS, however we can promise you one thing: we don't oversell. Since we use the Xen Hypervisor, it is nearly impossible to oversell as the software won't let us!

Can I get console access?
We recommend that you access the console on your VPS via SSH. This is the fastest, most secure way to access your system, and can even be limited to your IP address by using our managed firewall service. If for some reason the ssh daemon on your VPS becomes unavailable, then we are able to offer "out of band" console access via our control panel system, which allows you to fix any problems.

Can I buy extra public IPs?
You sure can. Each VPS can have a total of 3 public IP addresses. We offer additional IP address at £1.50 + VAT per IP per month. This is subject to IANA rules.

How does remote monitoring work?
We use Zenoss for our remote monitoring service. We are able to monitor certain services running on your VPS (using SNMP), and can send you a SMS if any problems are detected. This service is currently in trial, and we are keen to get some testers on board. Drop us an email if you are interested!

What is your relationship with ABPNI?
Evorack is a division of
ABPNI Computer Solutions Ltd, who provide home and business I.T. support and maintenance services, with support and engineering staff located on the South coast of England to deal with Evorack issues.
You can be rest assured that with the wealth of knowledge and experience that ABPNI staff have, your VPS will be in good hands.
